I can sit... well kinda!

I have been working with Jackson a lot on his sitting skills.  He seems to be the "laid back" kid... he is pretty content with laying on his play mat and not too eager to move from it!  It's hard watching my friends babies (who are close to Jackson's age) crawl, roll all around, pull up on things... you get the idea!  They all tell me just wait because once he starts cruising there is no stopping him!  I have been taking Jackson outside a lot over the past few days because the weather has been so nice.  So of course I had to snap a few pictures of him.  I can get him to sit still for about 30 seconds or so then he slowly starts to fall over.  Every day he seems to be doing better and better.  Stay tuned for more to come!  We are going to Austin to visit Jenn and Taylor while Paul is out of town for work.  Hopefully we will be able to get some great pictures of the babies together!

Merry Christmas! Bring it on 2011!!!!

I can't believe another year has flown by. At this time last year I was newly pregnant and had no idea how much my life was about to change! Being a mom is the hardest job in the world but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I can't believe that Jackson is almost 6 months old and that we will be celebrating his 1st birthday this coming summer. Time sure does fly by!!!!
We had a great first Christmas as a family. Christmas eve day we spent time with my family and that evening we were the holy family in our Christmas Eve service at our church. Jackson was a fantastic baby Jesus! I was so worried that he would cry but he did great! Christmas day we went to Jason's grandmothers house and had a wonderful lunch with his family. His dad, step mom and brother came by the house after to open presents at our house. Jackson loved his new light up toys! We then went over to Jason's mom's house to spend time with the Sargent family and Logan cooked a ton of yummy food! All in all it was a great first family Christmas with Jackson. I can't wait till he gets older and really gets into the present opening and Santa! Here are a few pictures from our first Christmas with Jackson:

(I can't figure out how to flip the photo!)

My new year's resolution is the obvious... loose the rest of the baby weight and tone up! AND a few other things I want to work on in the new year:
1. Spend more time with my family
2. Spend time teaching Jackson and enjoy all the tiny milestones!!!
3. Take a ton of photos of Jackson with my new camera
4. Save money to buy a house/ or add on to our current home
5. Win the lotto
6. Be a better wife
7. Work on my cleaning skills!!!!!!!
8. Be the BEST MOM EVER!!!
Happy New Year to you and your family! I plan on making 2011 the BEST year yet!
Love- Jamie
